For standard concrete, the density is approximately 150 pounds per cubic foot (2,400 kg/m³), though this varies based on the aggregate type, water content, and whether the concrete is wet or cured.

    Wet concrete fresh from the truck weighs more than cured concrete because of its higher water content. Freshly poured concrete typically weighs about 150 lb/ft³, while fully cured concrete comes in around 145 lb/ft³ after the excess water has evaporated over the 28-day curing period.

    To calculate the weight of a concrete slab, measure the length, width, and thickness, convert all measurements to feet, multiply them together to get cubic feet, then multiply by 150 lb/ft³. For cubic yards (the standard ordering unit from ready-mix plants), multiply cubic feet by the density and divide by 27, or simply know that one cubic yard of concrete weighs approximately 4,050 pounds or just over 2 tons.
